Dream
Sleep my child lay your head upon thy pillow.
Do not be afraid to drift off to that far away land my little fellow.
Let your thoughts drift, dive and wonder off to the land beyond tomorrow.
Go to where sadness is at bay, to where no cry can be heard for there is no sorrow.
Go to were elephants are the size of ants.
And were ants are the size of a two ton cat.
The place where butterflies can carry off shipping yards,
But the great blue whale lives in a house of cards.
Fade off to where rivers are the city streets,
And where cars drive across the great wide sea.
Where the sky is so black that it's too bright to see.
When the fishes see a shark, but don't bother to flee.
You know you must be in a dream!
Where some folks walk like you and me,
But where others walk upside down like their on a great ceiling.
Maybe the way they walk is wrong,
But maybe the way we go takes too long.
For no one knows who is wrong or right,
But the man who walks sideways gave us all a fright.
When the river runs one way but the current another.
When you never fight with your sister or brother.
When you can think so hard that you fly off the ground.
When you can hear others talking when they're not around.
You know you must be in another place,
Far, far away from earth or space.
So close those eyes my child dear
Know that you have nothing to fear.
Go to the place were magic is normal,
But anything normal is a trick all itself.
Go to that magical, wonderful place,
That can only be reached by means of a dream.
